This policy explains what Workaut collects, why, and what you can do about it. We have written it in plain language and listed the actual data fields rather than vague categories.
The short version. Workaut stores the training and wellness data you enter so the app can work across your devices. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with data brokers. Some of what you can log is sensitive health information — it is optional, and you control who sees it.
Workaut is operated by the developer publishing the app on the App Store. For any privacy question, or to request access to or deletion of your data, write to [email protected].
Everything below is data you enter yourself or that the app generates as you use it. Nothing is collected from third parties.
These fields exist because the app can correlate them with your training. You are never required to fill them in, and leaving them empty does not limit the rest of the app.
| Data | Why the app asks |
|---|---|
| Sleep hours | Correlate recovery with training performance |
| Menstrual cycle start and length | Adjust program expectations across the cycle |
| Libido | Tracked by some users as a recovery and hormonal indicator |
| Digestion and facial bloat | Tracked alongside diet and supplements |
| Food and water intake | Nutrition and hydration tracking |
| Fasting windows | Fasting schedule tracking |
What we do not collect. Workaut does not collect your location, does not access your contacts, does not track you across other apps or websites, and contains no third-party advertising or analytics trackers. The only usage analytics are our own, described under Technical below.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with data brokers. Health and wellness data is never used for marketing.
Other users. Only your social profile, your workout activity, your photos attached to workouts, your comments and reactions, and your live status can be seen by others, and only by people you have accepted as friends. Your profile can be set to private. Your health and wellness entries — sleep, cycle, libido, digestion, food — are never shown to other users.
Service providers. We use Supabase to host the database, authentication and file storage, and Apple Push Notification service to deliver notifications. They process data on our behalf under their own security commitments and do not use it for their own purposes.
Legal. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you use Workaut from another country, your data is transferred there.
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your profile, entries, workouts, photos, comments and reactions. Aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained. Backups are purged on a rolling basis within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under California law.
Workaut is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your rows in our database is enforced per user at the database level, so one account cannot read another account's private data. Passwords are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date above and notify you in the app.
